When hair falls out more than usual, becomes fine or loses density, the problem usually starts in the scalp: poor blood flow and under-nourished follicles. The Indiba hair treatment works right there, with gentle warmth and no needles, and combines with our other hair treatments and with anything your doctor has prescribed.
What is the Indiba hair treatment?
It is a treatment using the radiofrequency of Indiba®, the Spanish company that has been researching and manufacturing its devices since 1983. Its stable 448 kHz frequency passes through the scalp, with or without a thermal effect, and increases blood flow and the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the follicle. It also has a biostimulating effect which, according to Indiba, promotes hair growth.
It is painless and relaxing: you only feel a pleasant warmth on your head. No rest is needed and you can style your hair and carry on with your day afterwards.

What Indiba and its cases say
According to Indiba, because hair takes time to grow, the treatment should be kept up for at least 2 or 3 months. These are the cases published by the manufacturer; the result depends on the cause of the hair loss, which is why we always start with a diagnosis.
Redensification: 2 months, 3 sessions a week
Hair loss prevention: 1 month, 5 sessions a week
Hair density: 4 months, 2 sessions a week
Compatible with drug treatments such as minoxidil, according to Indiba

For women and men with hair loss, weak hair or loss of density. If we suspect alopecia that needs medical treatment, we refer you to the doctor. According to Indiba, it is not performed in the first three cases, and in the others we assess it with you first:
Pacemaker or other electronic implants
Pregnancy
Thrombophlebitis
Infection or wound on the scalp
Cancer treatment: we check with your oncologist
Anticoagulant medication: ask your doctor first

A relaxed session of around 30 minutes, as part of a plan over several weeks.
Scalp analysis
We look at your scalp and hair, talk about the hair loss (since when, how much, family history, medication) and, if needed, carry out the Kapyderm hair analysis.
The session
With a conductive cream we glide the electrode over the scalp. You will feel a gentle, pleasant warmth; the session lasts around 30 minutes.
Afterwards
No rest is needed: you can wash and style your hair and carry on with your day.
Follow-up
We review your progress every few weeks and adjust the plan; hair growth is assessed from 2 or 3 months onwards.

- How should I come, and what care is needed at home?
- Come with clean hair and no styling products. Afterwards you can wash and style it as usual; for home care we recommend the shampoo and actives that suit your case.
- Are there any contraindications?
- It is not performed with a pacemaker or other electronic implants, during pregnancy or with thrombophlebitis. With a scalp infection, cancer treatment or anticoagulants, we assess it first, and if necessary with your doctor.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the cause and the condition of the scalp. At first several sessions a week are done, and the treatment lasts at least 2 or 3 months; in the cases published by Indiba, 2 to 5 sessions a week were done for 1 to 4 months.
When will I see results?

Hair grows slowly: hair loss usually slows down first, but the increase in density is assessed from 2 or 3 months onwards.
Can it be combined with minoxidil or other treatments?

Yes. According to Indiba, there is no contraindication to combining it with drug treatments such as minoxidil. We also combine it with Dermapen 4, Mesoject Gun or hair mesotherapy.
Does it help if I have had or am going to have a hair transplant?

Yes. According to Indiba, it prepares the scalp before the transplant and, once fully recovered, helps maintain the transplanted area. We coordinate it with your clinic.
How should I come, and what care is needed at home?
